Service

Last updated: 27 March 2026  ·  Applies to vydra.studio

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Vydra Studio (“Vydra”, “the service”) at vydra.studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all users including guests, free account holders, and subscribers.

Service description

Vydra Studio is a browser-based video editor that provides timeline editing, server-side FFmpeg rendering, and realtime collaboration. The service is provided on an as-is basis. Features, limits, and pricing are subject to change at any time with reasonable notice.

Account types

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account, which controls access to your Vydra account.

Plan limits and quotas

Each plan tier carries monthly usage limits including upload storage, render time, and maximum number of active projects. These limits reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). Exceeding a limit will prevent further uploads or renders until the period resets or your plan is upgraded.

Current plan limits are displayed within the Vydra Studio application. Vydra reserves the right to adjust plan limits at any time. Material reductions will be communicated in advance.

Subscriptions and billing

Your content

You retain full ownership of all media files you upload and all projects you create. Vydra does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

By uploading content to Vydra, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and serve that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload and use any content, including third-party media, music, or footage.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vydra Studio to:

Vydra reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards without prior notice.

Render output and watermarking

Exports produced on the Free plan include a Vydra Studio watermark. Subscribing to a Pro plan removes the watermark from all future exports. Vydra does not apply any watermark to exports made while an active Pro subscription is in effect.

Data retention and deletion

Collaboration and sharing

Vydra supports realtime collaboration and project sharing across all account types. When you share a project link, any person with that link, including unauthenticated guests, may access and edit the project. You are responsible for managing who you share project links with.

Collaborators who join via a guest session do not need a Vydra account. Their access is tied to their browser session and may be lost if that session expires.

Service availability

Vydra Studio is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, availability, or performance. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from service interruptions.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VYDRA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Vydra's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Vydra in the three months preceding the claim. In no event shall Vydra be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of revenue.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, unless otherwise required by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Continued use of the service after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
